Sean Visits GameStop Expo
The first hint that NMS may be shown at the GameStop Expo came from Sean's twitter.
Sadly the game was not shown during the live broadcast on GameStop's twitch account, but some people who went to the expo did get to meet Murray and even see NMS in action.
Not to mention that a bunch of people came away with these cool signed NMS posters, which I desperately want.
Richard, who took the above photos, posted on Reddit the following:
"He was a really cool dude, and I got to speak to him for a bit before he sat down and started signing posters.
He asked me if knew about the game and I told him I've been following it pretty intensely with "the hopes of hearing some hint that Lovecraftian cosmic monsters will be included somewhere." He laughed pretty hard at this and I felt satisfied with the nerd points I had scored.
No real or new information past that though. Just gushed about sci-fi literature and cover art(Cool bit about how him and the team took the covers of hundreds of 70s sci-fi novels and threw them up all over the walls of their studio when they first started working on the title), and he asked me what my favorite/most played game was. Guy seems insanely passionate and excited to be working on his game, and left me with little doubt that it's going to be just absolutely wonderful.
Overall just an incredibly exciting experience, pretty much felt like I was meeting an idol. Just wanted to share."

When Richard was asked if he heard anything about a release date he replied:
"I didn't want to ask him, but I did catch his response when the dude directly in front of me did.
He was still a little ways from me, but it was something along the lines of, "I'm not allowed to say, but after this the team and I will be settling in to work on it for awhile." I might have heard him say something like "the next time you see me, it'll be out."
Or something like that. I don't want to incorrectly speak for him, but it seems like they're gonna take a break from press and public event stuff and hone in on finishing the game. Which I think is awesome."

"In spite of the opinions of certain narrow-minded people, who would shut up the human race upon this globe, as within some magic circle which it must never outstep, we shall one day travel to the moon, the planets, and the stars, with the same facility, rapidity, and certainty as we now make the voyage from Liverpool to New York."
